the telephone repairman, in Newmarket England, with a BSA and toolbox sidecar unit

the top of the sidecar is the toolbox area, and the bottom is housing a ladder of 4 sections that went together to make an extension ladder

info from http://www.newmarketlhs.org.uk/telephoneexchange5.html

found on 2 different websites on the same day, coincidentally

obviously the sidecars are different and that the bikes are going in different directions, but how interesting that the angles are about the same. I suppose that the vehicles are from countries that drive on the opposite sides of the road to get sidecars on opposite sides

a new gallery of the "Wheels Through Time" motorcycle museum in North Carolina I just came across had these gems

it's a rare and intriguing find of a motorcycle that was made into a rail car, in this case, for a mine

tire chains, well... I had never thought about using old sprocket chains before, but I bet they would work just fine

these are just a sample of the gallery at http://goodsparkgarage.com/wheels-through-time-vintage-motorcycle-museum/#more-5525

Von Dutch's BMW cycle and side car, the "Toaster" R60/1000

this is the only "System Von Dutch" sign I've come across yet... but I've read about it.

This was at yesterdays Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show, and I've got to praise the people that throw this event, as this is the singular place to find Von Dutch made bikes that I've found. There were 3 bikes here this year, and 2 last year.

100 years ago, you could order a really good motorcycle from the Sears catalog, you can't do that today on Amazon!
