1936 Packard V12 convertible sedan 1408

I often wonder what is in the elegant trunks on these pre ww2 autos, and this is one rare example of an open one displaying the fitted luggage inside

1939 Chrysler Imperial

the above interior shot worked out well, and the below radio shot shows the radio stations from WAAYYY back in the 40's. KFI is still on the air, or it sounds really familiar. The others I haven't heard of

 great matching luggage and radio

the 300SL that were at the LaJolla Classic Car... with and without front bumper made for a contrast and comparison moment

Noitce the above headlights aren't as nice looking as the below
and above the bumper doesn't accentuate the car like having the bumper removed below

 marvelous luggage

interesting things I couldn't resist sharing, from Bugstock 2012

wow, luggage turned into an audio video mobile/portable/removeable case... cool!
even a Von Dutch touch

Ummm, good sense of humor? No, commentors Fred and TouringBubble said this was a factory transmission, VW automatic stickshift, when you pushed down on the shift lever the clutch engaged, you still had to shift, just without the foot clutch

Roth above, and blowing my mind, this Roth decal was on another car... when was the last time you've seen a real Roth decal?

Dealership plates? WTH?
What is with the stand up area? They were factory accordian style expandables
