Original GT 40 chassis under a van.. imagine finding this van after 40 years of obscurity

The Supervan first appeared at the Easter 1971 meeting at Brands Hatch. A GT40 chassis and its mid-engined 400 bhp Ford V8 gave a standard pressed-steel Mark 1 Transit bodyshell a claimed top speed of around 150 mph. The vehicle had been built for Ford by Terry Drury Racing. Externally the van appeared very like a standard Transit, in Ford’s racing livery of white with low horizontal triple blue stripes.

London Taxis in New York to spread the word about a soccer match. Well done!

In advance of the 2013 English Premier League season kickoff on Saturday, August 17, NBC Sports has brought one of England’s most recognizable symbols to the streets of New York City: the London Taxi (see attached photos).

NBC Sports has transported eight iconic London taxis, both vintage and modern, to NYC and retrofitted them to represent 16 teams in the Premier League

A couple cool vehicles in the Beatles corny but cute, Help

what do you figure this van would go for at auction now? In a Beatles movie, with it's looks and design?

I didn't expect to see a 440 6 pack at the British Car Council annual All British Car Show

This is a Jensen Interceptor, from the same Jensen company that partnered with Healey to make the Jensen Healey sports car. The Interceptor was more a muscle car, in the same configuration as the AC Cobra. A British sports car with an American big block. The original engines in the Interceptors were built with 383s, but a 440 isn't so different in size, and with a small amount of trouble will fit in any engine bay you pull a 383 out of

The British Car Club Council of San Diego has a website... and some cool stories posted on their blog

story and info from http://sandiegobritishcarday.org/blog/?p=19

A MG owner told his Magnette specialist friend about this car, so off to inspect a car,  pre-purchase, and this California rust free example was pulled from the garage.

Millicent is the original owner, and finally decided to part with her Magnette (MG with 4 doors)

My first impression was how absolutely complete and unmolested the car was. Little “Magnette” details like the clock were still there, the very special rear view mirror, the beautiful MG-octagoned intake manifold, all the wood trim was intact. But, I was there to look for rust. I looked, and I looked. Just like the A’s most of us are familiar with, there are just places where you absolutely know there is rust on a Magnette—stills, bottom of doors, bottom of spare tire “well”, boot floor, wheel wells, “dog leg” areas by all fenders, lower sections of fenders, etc. I checked ‘em all. Totally rust free. I couldn’t believe it! The bottom of the car is clean—not really even surface rust.

with the original Bill of Sale, the original Owner’s Manual, the original factory warranty from Nuffield, and lots of other history

the Magnette is a rare beast, and going to a new good home of MG lovers. I was hoping that the article would say how long the car had been off the road, but it doens't. Just that the engine was removed, and the car was on blocks
