2 zingers are at SEMA, and Bob Larivee Sr... probably the father of the modern car show, hot rod show legend regardless

what are Zingers, Mose asked...  These are the Zingers!, the "hairiest, scariest fistfuls of muscle yet," according to the ads for the line of MPC plastic models introduced in 1971. In the days when wild show cars reigned, legendary promoter Bob Larivee Sr. drew crowds by commissioning full-scale versions of top-selling toys. http://www.hotrod.com/thehistoryof/113_0409_1971_zingers_toys/

that is Bob in the green shirt. I got to thank him for bringing and creating the Zingers

Thanks for helping me Michel Chaput, Pat Redmond, and Br'er Shaygetz who all let me know a bit more about these! Much appreciated!

MPC put them out in the 70's.
MPC's current owners, Round 2 Models, re-released them earlier this summer.
